I would say either the Hawks or the Rangers though I will say that depends on how you are doing the dynasty. Are you doing it as close to history as possible or are you going to try and create your own. If you are creating your own, then it doesn't really matter what team you use I suppose

That's a very tall order Duranium. Can you outperform the Habs historically? I wouldn't want that much pressure. Give me the Rangers any day. Outperforming the Rangers historically should be a breeze (so says the guy whose heart was violently ripped from his chest and stomped on by the Rangers in '94 when they managed to beat my beloved Devils).
Maybe in a future version they'll let you really go down memory lane and take the old Seattle team (I forget their name.... the Metropolitans?) and some of the other early-20th century folded teams. In fact, it would be awesome if the economic engine is robust enough in the future to allow for different teams to survive/die/move. That'd be neat. As for me, I'm still itching to do a proper Scouts/Rockies/Devils "dynasty." Does having an iron grip on last place and the #1 pick each year count as a "dynasty" per se?

hehe...have to pick the Habs as i always liked them since getting addicted to the NHL in 1994 (no way to watch any games in Austria back then).
So after my Pens i alway liked the Habs, Devils (as i really hate the Rags) and of course the Whalers as they brought us 2 of my all-time top 5 players in Ronnie Francis and o/c Uuuuuulfie Samuelsson So i´ll try the Habs when starting a 1949 game myself as i kinda like the Wings and Hawks a bit, really hate the Bruins & Rangers, and don´t care at all for the Leafs (start flaming now, please...hehe) Can´t wait to play clubs like the Montreal Maroons, Ottawa Silver Seven or the Vancouver Millionaires with players like -take a deep breath now- Newsy Lalonde, Cyclone Taylor, King Clancy, Buck Boucher, Cy Denneny, Frank Nighbor, Auriel Joliat, Howie Morenz and so on, and so on
