New Historical Mode

Good to see some info on plans for 2015. It sounds interesting. I'm wondering, with the new historical mode, how much customization will be allowed to the user. The update says "think NHL". Does that mean one will be limited to a 30 team NHL with an 82 game season? Will one be able to create a smaller (or bigger) league, and/or change the length of the schedule? Finally, with plans for 2015 clicking along and the game apparently going in a promising direction, is work still proceeding on the 2014 patch or is that going to be folded over into 2015 instead, with perhaps current 2014 owners being given a nice discount as an enticement to stay the course?

Just to make sure, I talked about Fictional not Historical!

The "think NHL" was geared towards the league level, basically I wanted to say that you can choose to play one league only, league + farm-team league or league + farm-team league + major-junior league.

For the customization, you choose a country and/or region and all cities from there are available to choose from for the leagues. The league structure can be selected from about 20 per-generated setups and maybe (not confirmed!) further edited (again, thats mainly a schedule generator problem). In addition a few league/game rules will be editable but we keep it simple to avoid all the nightmares from last year with fictional.

The 2014 patch is not folded but recent events in my private life made it a lot more complicated. Since all the changes will go into 2015 as well it is not wasted time. So everyone who wants to stay with 2014 will get the changed match engine as well.

Yes, of course. Sorry about that. I was thinking about the right one, but wrote the other one!

Thanks for the rest of the info. It sounds iike if you guys were ever able to come up with a viable schedule generating routine it would open the game up a good deal as far as customization possibilities. Hopefully that will get some attention down the road, once you get the product functioning to your satisfaction.
