Career Notes / In game Notes

Heya folks,

I'm excited for the upcoming FHM2 like the rest of ya's, and understand how many options and various functions of the game that will eventually make it in future versions of the game.

One option I would love to see is the ability to write in-game notes in a players bio of some sort that I can write my own logic or thoughts on individual players throughout the hockey seasons.

Another feature would be to outline or record the various awards, memos and important information that players have throughout they're careers like EHM had but better! Kinda a journal of the career such as scoring awards, various awards, calder cups, tournament awards, player of the week,month & year, injuries etc.. etc..

Anyways just my two cents =P Looking forwards to the long awaited release and heres to it being released before I draw a pention in this lifetime haha Cheers all!

Yeah I hope sometime in the future we get an OOTP-style player history, where it could mention things like first career goal, hat tricks, championships, etc.

No promises yet on what might be possible, but I know the developers are looking into it. The issue in the past has been memory usage, with such a large number of leagues on the go.

I am NOT a programmer but 30+ years ago when I had a TRS-80 we had an 8 bit memory instruction limit on the disks (pre - drive A floppy's) so for example anything that we wanted to create for a character's backpack, sack, satchel etc. had to be coded 22BA (backpack article) that left 3 digits to create things and they had to be uniform across the board so the computers could read it the same. So food became 22BA001, and so on. that generated enough work that we took 2 months to catalog the items that fit, only to discover that the 8 bits included actions... so we had to scrap the plan and start all over with just 1 through 9 items available! 22BA(1-9) as our limits.

I assume its a lot more complicated today but the general thought in my head is they would have to create a generic MVP, Goalie, Offensive, Defensive POY, etc. and then include the requirements to trigger the award AND where/how to record that to the specific player file...

too bad it's not as easy as taking the code from OOTP and moving it to FHM.
