Injury realted question

So see if you can tell where Tuukka suffered a grade 3 concussion:
Note: scoring is set to 6.15gpg.

I also did boost the bruins including giving them the "best" right winger in nhl history...ME! lol, But if you notice after the concussion he never was the same again. After his first 10 games back from the IR he posted a 4.35 gaa and .855 sv% in the playoff and also through the first 20ish games of the next season he performed about the same.
Baring a few seasons where he was close including his insanely good final season as a Flame, he kinda sucked lol

So my question is was this random luck or is or is it coded into the game where a chance that after a major injury a player can never seem to return to full form.

If this was random luck, i think a feature like this would be great but only if it was reasonable. Like if a player has a major injury to a leg he could loose a considerable amout of speed, or someone getting a concussion making them more prone to another one or even loosing some points in bravery because they are scared of getting hit and having another possible concussion. I have noticed injury's are more random on players, without enough of a player repeatedly getting the same injury. Not every player but on rare occasions
