Database update this week moved back a day

While the website is now back up, we don't have some other servers back online yet. So we're going to delay the database update one day to Thursday instead of Wednesday so we have time to test things properly.

The good news is, it'll be a combined update this week: in addition to the data, there'll also be a new version of the game. A second round of bug fixes, including much more sane finances in historical mode and the beginning of an upgrade to the way the game evaluates player value (hopefully, at least: that's one of the things we need to test before Thursday.)

Glad to see the constant process. Currently for me I think the two biggest issues with the game are the drafts are empty after 2013 and that well the pics have no trade value. Past that I feel that most things are highly livable.

nice hopfully this will fix the caphit so it doesent doubble when you sign new contracts

Jeff, I don't want to hijack the thread, but do you guys have any idea when the league editing stuff will be functional?

Also from second season and beyond NHL Teams aren't allowed to make Trades,If you have to many Unsigned Prospects you may only be able to Draft one person and then it says already have 90 protected,sometimes in Historical Draft it says Wayne Gretzky but you Draft somebody else, still can't get passed third season but did go one season without any errors,Fictional Players are showing up if I load 2000 League/2 Teams Fictional Teams

Probably a few more weeks. We have to make some decisions about how we're handling league-specific rules, but we may be able to start opening up areas for editing that aren't directly affected by that. The main focus right now is getting the serious bug-fixing done first; we want things to be in good working order before too much is editable. You guys have seen some of the complications caused by commisioner-mode player movement not playing nicely with roster rules, we don't want to repeat that.

Glad to hear about a pending player valuation upgrade. That and injuries have been the biggest sticking points for me.

Things like this are what is going to make this product fantastic, how easy would it have been to just put it out there and then when it comes up on forums say oh we'll get it next time...

No good news yet, Malte's still working on it and found another ugly problem that needs to be addressed as well.

take your time with it i rather have a good update then a rushed one thats released a day or two to early

We're still trying to get it out today, although "today" may stretch into the early hours of Friday in Europe.
