Purchased Game - How to Best Watch Games?

I recently purchased FHM3 and was wondering from the community how you best play and adjust the game in-season or in-game.

I have played OOTP for many years and also Football Manager. When I play those games I get associated with the team by making day-to-day decisions and even in-game changes. I play out all games.

FHM seems to have a little different feel (and I realize the game is still developing). What I'm wondering is the best approach to play the game during the season and during the actual game play. Best practices from the community for things like the following.....

(1) How quickly do you sim games (fast or was Play by Play in every detail)
(2) During the games, do you make tactical changes, line changes, etc.?
(3) After the games what do you look for and at?
(4) Between games, what do you look to do and monitor?
(5) How do you make adjustments during the season.

Note - I am aware of free agency and trading players, and the typical off-season stuff....what I'm really looking for is how do you manage and adjust your current roster of players, during the season and during games?
