WHA Teams Sign Players Before Draft?
So I started a historical game with the '67 Flyers and I'm up to the point where the WHA enters the game. The biggest thing I've noticed is that the WHA teams are signing all of the young players as soon as their added to the game, leaving me with nobody to draft that I can sign immediately after.
Is this accurate? I thought that the WHA had its own amateur draft but it doesn't seem like any of these players are being drafted first by the WHA, they're just getting signed. |

That was an issue with early versions of FHM3 - during development we separated the historical and modern db's, and the data for the WHA drafts was accidentally lost from historical, so the WHA has no draft at all and its teams were able to sign all the new 18-year-olds (or whatever the age limit was in a particular season) before the NHL draft occurred and the NHL teams got their chance. It was fixed in the last update, but if your historical game was started before that, it'll be missing the WHA drafts (they can't be added retroactively.)
