It's funny... I thought he might still be on the roster because of his career ERA being under 3.00, or maybe that he won 18 and 19 games the previous 3 years... but apparently it's only because he just gets the job done.

Well... he's done it for 4 years so far.
He was on my team, but needed to do a salary dump to try and keep my two superstar pitchers and 5 superstar batters... think I'm gonna lose that fight though.

He's getting roughly 11 million a year for 5 years (he's in the second year of contract). A little low... but his superiors are making 15-16 million... superiors in ratings... he's equal to all in terms of performance.

What we have here is an example of a starter season description message that doesn't fit the circumstances under which it might be displayed. Since the category has an abundance of messages, the simplest course here was just to delete the entry . . . and I have done that.
