BBCF Online League DI-AA: The League Looking for Owners
Kenneth Choate and Max Lily are looking for Bowl Bound College Football players who are up for a new, exciting challenge.
We plan to begin an online league based on KennyWan's Division I Playoff Subdivision mod for BBCF, going by the name D-IAA: The League. We currently have seven owners and are looking to start when we have between 10 and 15 members. Two teams will be allowed to owners who are interested. The league will be a more casual league, with two sims per week, planned for Wednesday and Sunday. The league will be slightly modified from the original, eliminating the Independents, the Mid Alantic Athletic Conference, and the Great West Conference by combining those conferences into other conferences to create a more balanced schedule, placing those schools into conferences that they were moving to wherever applicable. In addition to the conference realignment, 10 postseason games have been added to give the top teams not making the playoffs a reward for a good season. So, if you are looking for more fun and enjoyment out of BBCF, please let us know! If you want to be a founding member of DI-AA: The League, leave a message in this thread, or email the league at diaatheleague AT gmail DOT com. Check us out at http://theleague.freehostia.com/ And if you don't have the game, Grey Dog Software has just dropped the price to $29.99 USD! Kenneth Choate President & Co-Founder DI-AA: The League |

No problems, mh. If you have played BBCF before, it's not that hard. Instead of calling your plays in game, you set your playbooks to what the AI will call for you in certain situations. Recruiting, scheduling, and any other non-game items are all the same as if you were playing solo. All you have to do extra is export a coach file and upload it to our site and I do the rest.
Let me know what team you're interested in, and I'll give you a hand whenever you need it. You can catch me on AIM as kennywanchizoate or on MSN messenger at kchoate [at] hotmail.com KennyWan |

I will go with Morehead St. since my oldest goes there and my youngest might play for them next year. What game file do I need to download? The one on your site? Last edited by mh2365 : 08-12-2007 at 07:39 PM. |

Moorehead State is yours, email me your coach name and desired team password at the league email address above. I hope to have everything uploaded by 10 central time tonight if I can get all of our new owner's passwords in so you can check out your team. If everyone who has signed up in the past few days follows through, I will try to have us ready for our first week coach files to be due in a week from today. KennyWan |

A new addition to The League is our Sports Book. It's our take on sports betting, and this time, coaches CAN take part! Check out the rules at our site.

Possible Interest, But First Some Questions
Hi! Your DI-AA idea intrigued me. First off, I only have played Bowl Bound as a demo. I don't own the game, but am considering purchasing it. If so, I'd definitely be interested in your league. However, I have a few questions:
1) Do you guys know of anywhere that you can download real players such as with the Lahman database for OOTP baseball? 2) Is your league strictly with fictional players? 3) When do you hope to start the league? 4) Is it easy to upload and export the coach file? Thanks! If I decide to take the plunge, I'll go with Eastern Illinois which has given us NFL coaches Mike Shanahan, Sean Payton and Brad Childress.

Answers to each of your questions, as best as I can do it.
1.) As far as real players, I don't believe that anyone has sat down and changed all the players in the database from fictional to real. It would take a tremendous amount of work to do so, probably on the order of several weeks of work, and the payout of having the real players for only 4-5 years is very small. Remember, college football players are transient by nature; real players files always show up in pro games, but rarely for college games. 2.) Yes, we use stricly ficional players. 3.) We hope to run our first sim Sunday, but no later than next Wednesday. 4.) Until I can get our upload manager working, I'll be taking in the exports by email, which should take only a few seconds longer than an upload manager. And until you give further notice, Eastern Illinois is now off the board, pending your decision. Kenny |

Coming up on the playoffs for the first human owner season. Ken has done a great job running it and it has been a lot of fun. Lots of teams open and this would be a good time to join and do the recruiting for your team!!

Finishing the second season now ... I would like to reiterate what a quality league this is. Kenny does an excellent job running it and even does a league radio show, which is a blast.
Several quality teams are still open .. now is the time to join before recruiting begins. |
