Soccer League

After a short forray into running a baseball league - I have decided to go back to what I have done best in the past......

I am looking to start a Soccer League - I was running one for about 10 seasons (3-1/2 years) real time before turning over the league to the co-commish (we had a difference in direction we wanted to go)

It will use Football Manager for the sim engine - Version 2008 (with the 8.02 patch and the current rosters)

How it works.......(condensed version )

I will allow managers to take "ANY" team they wish to have (they get the roster of that team to start) - I will open up a short transfer window to allow managers to make roster adjustments as desired. I will than close the transfer window until about the third round of the season for more transfers (I will work this out in further detail)

Teams will have 25 players (same as World Cup rosters - they must carry a minimum of 2 GK's in that 25)

Lineups and tactics can be e-mailed in or sent as a .tac file if you own the game (not required)

I am currently posting the rules section for further review... The purpose of this posting is two-fold

1.) To gauge interest in this league
2.) To start getting feedback on teams desired and some rule clarifications that may be more league driven (fine tuning)

If any interest in this league - Please post here I am looking for about 12 teams (will take more)

Out of interest are any of you chaps signed up for the Football Manager Live beta? ... its a forthcoming massively multi-player game which uses the FM (WWSM) engine ... if you haven't heard of it there are some details at sigames.com and the games own website.

I think this would be much better of everyone were assigned to a league. If the setup has changed, my apologies. Im signing up.

I see nothing about the beta at sigames.com.

How do I choose a team, I've never played FM online.

This league will not compete with FM Live - It is a different animal all-together

I have been signed up for quite some time - Am still waiting to hear more information
