FIFA Manager 08

Has anyone played this game? Prett sweet if you ask me. You get real in depth team management with real players from all the major leagues from around the world. You can watch your team play in 3D mode or take control of one of the players on your team and play. The 3D model reminds me of FIFA 05 or so, not very resource intesive but still a good graphical experience, it should run on any PC. Anyone try it out?

This game is available on PC DVD-ROM only I believe.

Official Website:
EA - FIFA Manager 08

Another website:
EA SPORTS Fifa Manager 08

Probably the best video summing up the game:
YouTube - FIFA Manager 08 - Trailer

Other videos on YouTube:
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

I'd rather punch myself to death than play an EA "management" game.

Actually make that ANY EA Sports title.

I'm just downloading the demo now ...

How's it compare with Football Manager (or Worldwide Soccer Manager, I should say)? If you're familiar with that.

Everything that is in Football Manager is in FIFA Manager 08 and then some. Get your facts straight before you bash something/someone. As a matter of fact I found FIFA Manager to be superior to Football Manager in a lot of ways. The fact that the game was made by EA Sports UK (and developed by a German company) may have something to do with that, we all know that our domestic company kinda stinks.

Football Manager is not = OOTP. You can't create custom leagues, last time I checked. But it is still way too addictive, nevertheless.

Hey, all I'm saying is give this game a try. It keeps me waaay more entertain than Football Manager ever did. The 3D matches are addicting and entertaining to watch and the depth the leagues/stats are enough for me. I can't think of any major features Football Manager has that FIFA Manager is lacking.

It may be enough for you. But for us hardcore soccer fans, fifa manager can't satisfy our text-sim urges

Yes, can't argue with that.

But it's not impossible that people would like EA's version.

Just out of curiousity, have you tried the demo or are you just throwing out a blanket judgement?

Yes I have tried the demo, I deleted it after a day. Some of the things you have to do on their are so tedious and not what a real manager would have to bother with. The 3D match is tedious and does not play out as a real football match would, unlike the 2D match in FM.
