Suggested Forum Feature: Board Filter

How would you feel about a forum feature that would list all the new posts on the forum but would allow you to filter out all the boards that you're not interested in? That is, think the current new posts feature, but add the option to only show the threads from the boards you want to check.

For example, say you like to keep atop most of the topics here, but you're not at all interested in some things like say online leagues or tech support or maybe you're only interested in the boxing not OOTP or vice versa. Or maybe you only ever want to check a couple forums, but instead of having to click through each one, you'd only have to click once. This would allow both. Either way it would give you a list of topics from only the boards you're interested in.

Personally, I'd love it, but to convince the guys to add it I think we'd have to show them that it's more than just a handful of people who would use it.

I'm pretty sure someone can show them that it can be beneficial. I know of one pretty big message board that uses it, and it works wonderfully.

Sorry, I should have given you guys credit for introducing it to me. I did when I first proposed it to Andreas. JohnC is of course talking about TSW. Cooley's recent forum improvement thread over there re-sparked my interest in this feature.

I would use it too; I would be lost in TSW without it.

Oh, I wasn't crowing or anything, nor looking for "credit" for something Cooley did. I just like alluding or inferring.
