Personality Search Function?

Recently I wanted to see if I could improve my team growth by looking to trade for player with good leadership and work ethic abilities but then I could not find a way to actually search for personality ratings. Am I missing something?

You cannot search or filter by personality, but you can customize your view to show personality ratings. See below, where I customized the view of my roster to show leadership, then sorted by that column (and possibly got a clue why my team is not doing well this season - the two "leaders" were added only recently and everybody else on the team is a shrinking violet).

Thanks a lot, that was definitely what I was looking for. You also touched on another question I have. I was wondering if you noticed whether leadership impacted your team strongly or also if you found that a player's growth was heavily reliant on work ethic. I keep getting good players that perform badly and I think it may because I have yet to have anyone with a leader ability over like 6 and most of my top tier players have poor work ethics. Think leaders may give that extra push? Also I have a second game with the Kansas City Royals and obviously it's like an attempt at rebuilding and what I started to do was to get a ton of mediocre players (even projected to be mediocre) with a great work ethic. You think this is a good idea?

Leadership is one of those aspects of the game where I have a "V-8" moment at times, like, "Of course! Why didn't I keep an eye on that?"

The manual says Leadership is "A player's ability to lead. Players with high leadership have some positive effect on other players in the clubhouse, potentially affecting both their performance and their development."

I think with so many players down in the red leadership numbers on my team, which I did not know until I tried to answer your question, that yes, it may be having a bad impact on my team.

You might get more opinions on the matter from:

Leadership Ability

By the way, that thread is on the OOTP 9 General Discussions Board. I assume you are playing OOTP 9; if so, your questions and suggestions about that game (such as the other threads you started here today), would be better off posted on that board rather than this one which is more for general discussions of OOTP Developments itself and other simulation companies and games. You made some good suggestions which deserve consideration.
