Over Performers

Does it seem to anyone else that when you play against certain players, good or not, simply destroy you every time you play them? I don't know if it's just me, but every time my yankees come up against Hector Luna, Brian Roberts, or Lyle Overbay my team gets smashed by them, regardless of whose pitching. There's also a few other players that I can't remember at the moment. Anyone else experience this? The only people that would notice probably are play by play or pitch by pitch players.
