Suggestion: Pitcher Longevity

I think a skill aspect that could be added could be something along the lines of "longevity". This would help players again decide whether to set certain pitchers as starters or relievers. Inherently, this would allow less severe endurance ratings.

Longevity reflects how well a pitcher can continue to fool batters throughout the game. A good example of lacking longevity is in Juan Cruz. Juan Cruz started for the Diamondbacks a couple years back but was not very successful. However it was understood that Juan Cruz had very good pitching abilities and hence was moved to the pen where he was much more successful. Alternately, Daniel Cabrera, a very similar pitcher, is better, for whatever reason, at fooling batters throughout the game, which is not to say he has excellent longevity. Brandon Webb is an example of someone who does not throw hard or have any otherwise foolish stuff but has has brilliant longevity (particularly in the deception in his sinker) and can remain a consistent problem throughout a start.

How exactly does this skill differ from endurance?

Endurance is just a purely physical skill; this would be a physical+tools skill.

Would this be endurance + movement?

Do you know what movement is, in OOTP terms?? I dont. I wish the game had more ratings and the players were more complexly modeled.

Movement primarily affects HRs allowed. It doesn't have much of any effect on IP/G except that a pitcher who doesn't give up homers tends to stay out there longer than one who does. That being said, I too wonder what "longevity" accomplishes that endurance doesn't already. Perhaps there could be something in there to reward pitchers who throw lots of different pitches with an endurance boost. It seems to me that that would open up a whole new can of worms though.
