Any news on OOTP11? OOTP online? future plans?

Just wondering if there will be some kind of "State of OOTP developments" address from Markus now that OOTPX is complete and the new year is rapidly approaching.

Don't make me go all "Nancy-Boy" up in this piece!

Bump. Anything? I thought Steve said back after the last patch was delivered, that some announcements would be made.

I wouldn't mind something to whet our appetite. Maybe what the plans are?

...but before we get started with that...

When and how may one apply for the OOTP11 design team?

Prizes will be awarded when we reach a combined 2,000 people. We're hovering around 1,700 right now...

well, tomorrow is february. this thread stated in early december. it was suggested that "after the holidays" things would pick up. i am assuming that the 'holidays' are the christian-mythologist late-december ones popular in the united states of north america and not mexico, so that was a month ago.

my league has not made the jump to OOTPX yet, and we wouldn't be moving to OOTPX1 anytime soon, as things are not completed until sometime much later in the year (and why would we jeopardize a league that we care about by opening it up to programming gaffes and such?). but i still want to at least HEAR about possible changes in an upcoming version.

some features included in OOTPX really are enticing, and we will be moving to this version in a season and a hlaf in our league (about six months real-time). the key features making us move from OOTP9 are the allowing of player personality attributes to be viewed without being forced to view playing attributes, and an alleged improvement in the FA compensation pick arena.

Hopefully this post won't be yanked and the OOTP team can tolerate some friendly competition...

To see how the Puresim developer is encouraging customer feedback on future development, please see this link. Feel free to participate too.
You get $100 - Wolverine Studios

There is also another thread with a link to see how the vote is going:
PureSim 3 Feature Survey Update - Wolverine Studios

I've mentioned this before but all OOTP players should try the Puresim demo, and all Puresim players should try the OOTP demo. It is a free way to see if you have the game that is more fun for you.

There are several features OOTP has that Pursim currently does not (like online leagues) and is more customizable. If these features are mandatory for you, you would probably not switch to Puresim 2. They may be added to Puresim 3. If OOTP is too much of a pain to configure to get what you want, Puresim 2 is much simpler to get into.

PureSim is a good game. But they don't have pitch by pitch, they have poor text, no way to mod for historical names, and any res different from 1024x768 doesn't work well. Probably more stuff that's behind ootp but that's enough for now.

I don't have any objections to the post, in and of itself, and don't have a problem with the idea of competition. I don't, however, understand its placement in this thread, i.e. one started to inquire about updates. While you're certainly advocating a look at how a developer encourages feedback, the OP seems to be in need of hints to encourage that feedback from the developer.
