Highest Price For Rookie Card
So the achievement of this game is actually to get high priced Rookie card, right?
so what is the highest you got? and what's your stats on your rookie card? mine look like crap... AAA 237 AB, 77 H, 4 HR, 25 RBI, 5 SB, .325 AVG ILB 41 AB, 10 H, 5 RBI, .244 AVG i'm not retired yet, but about to, and my rookie card is worth a whoopy 468 $ and since my 2nd year in the league, i've always won the Golden Gloves, and was selected once as the all star game all this in normal setting

I am up to $25.98 for my card. I am a slick-fielding second baseman for the Rockies.
I was .211 - 15 - 48 in my rookie year. (.230 - 1 - 5 at AAA after a mid-season demotion for a few games.) I should clear 100 career HR by the time I am 27 years old. I'd love to see some more here. Just for the curious, the card that you see on the menu button is the 1987 Topps Barry Bonds. Last edited by BMW : 12-20-2003 at 05:03 PM. |

A few years later, I'm up to $249.05. And after signing a 3 year free agent deal with Colorado at 31 years old, I'm in AAA. Pinch hitting. Weird.
Now I've been released 6 days into my three year contract. For my one week of work, I can purchase roughly 23,000 of my rookie cards. Last edited by BMW : 12-20-2003 at 09:31 PM. |

$32.37
AA 146 AB, AVG .253 AAA 315 AB, AVG .270 ILB 19 AB, .316 Sad thing is it considered me a rookie with only 19 AB??? My next season I won an outstanding fielder award, hit .293, 23 HR, 79 RBI, and 84 R inn 512 AB....might have had a chance for rookie of the year (if there is one)? |

I am playing the normal level. At the age of 35 I just finished my 14th year. My card is worth $1,336.85. My talent number began to slip/plumet this last year, but I still put up good numbers:
Life time numbers: BA - 331 OBP - 411 SLG - 452 Runs - 1,560 SB - 1,143 6 Gold Gloves 4 All Star games 4 Play off appears (BA 348), but no WS rings. Probably wont get one with the current team. |

Actually, the card price CAN go down...I had a couple seasons with my southpaw middle reliever with an ERA over 5.00 and the value dipped a bit---granted, didn't take long for it to rise again--but it CAN decrease.
Right now in my 15th season as a 36 yr old, on my 3rd team with a career ERA of 3.76...sucking hind teat right now with an ERA of 5.12 in the 1st year of my new 3 yr $1.5m contract with TEX. Card value at the moment? $359.91

Greetings,
Approximately $4500 with a 22-year career player on the Easy setting. He started off with 100 in contact, 20 in power, 40 in eye, 100 in pop, and 100 in stolen base instincts. He received fairly regular improvements in power until he had 100 in that at age 30. From there on, he averaged approximately: .350, 50 2B, 60 HR, 60 SB. In a 50 year league, he is #1 in every counting (hits, doubles, etc.) category except stolen bases where Rickey Henderson's 1400 is pretty much untouchable. For what it is worth, I did not set out to make a freak. Check his original stats. I wanted a high average, high doubles, high stolen bases guy. The power was totally unexpected. Michael T. Gianvecchio P.S. His value was nearly $5000 before a crummy final season where he got released after a rough first month. Also, his ratings were still over 70 in nearly every category at that point (except eye, of course). His rough month was in my opinion merely bad luck, but it still ended his career.
