Okay, guys, here's the situation:

My assignment has been extended, as I have not yet been promoted. While I believe this makes me more valuable to the department, it gives me no extra time to write. I write about 6 hours a day as it is.

I have been working on another chapter, three actually, but they are not ready to post. I am also taking some extra time to sim further ahead, for two reasons: it's what I have time to do, and I need to know what happens farther into Dave's career because I have plans for the end of the book.

I can tell you that Dave continues to pursue that elusive Defensive Ace Award, and that he and Gwen will be welcoming another addition to the family.

I will post the chapters as I finish them. In the meantime, please keep checking back for updates from timte to time, and thanks for your support.

Dear Tib,

I just finished reading this amazing story of yours and then only thing that comes in to mind is.. Well.. Wow!

Everything has been said by anyone else so I will try not to repeat them.

I come from a small European country called Denmark where the interest of baseball is none existent. Actually I hate reading in any other language than my native so even do I chosen English as my main subject in the Gymnasium (comparable to High School) I actually dislike reading it. Therefore you can take is a huge compliment that I actually enjoyed reading the whole story. You kinda made me realize a new site to ITP, where I’ve started to add another dimension in to game by writing about my character. It makes the game progress slower but it also makes me more interested in progressing further. Sadly I find it almost impossible to write a baseball story in Danish as we simply lack too many baseball terms and it sounds stupid to translate them into Danish or write the English word into a Danish text. Therefore I started writing in English which makes the language less smoothly and extends the writing time but the result thereby a lot better. Before I read your story I would never even consider doing such a thing.

I have no idea if you ever look into this story any more but if you do I would say a chapter each year would satisfy me and if you have put Dave to rest I would love if you told us what could have become of him.

Sadly mistakes happen when you write in a language that you don’t speak every day but please bear with me.

I know this is kind of pathetic but I just started a Road to the Show charactor in MLB the Show 11 and am naming him David Driscoll (They even have the last name Driscoll to choose from in the audio list so the announcers will really say his name when he comes to the plate.

I know the game is really inaccurate, he'll be way better than ur guy, and they lack any minor league lower than AA, but I supose it could be an alternate history as if Driscoll went to college played well was a #1 pick and went straight to AA...

My time is very limited right now, as I have dedicated myself to coaching my children, but I have been writing as time permits. I have been spending some time writing other projects (and to other professional endeavors), but I hope to post two more chapters soon. Please bear with me, and thanks for the comments.

Ha... No problem, struggling about 20 games in hitting .210 as a 22 year old AA rookie. Thankfully there is no A to demote me to.

I came across this thread a few months ago and have read on and off. I've finally finished the story, and like everybody else here, I believe this story is amazing. Best sports book ever published or not.
