What Kind of Report To Do?

Tib's wonderful dynasty report has inspired me to try my hand at one as well, but I can't decide on how to do it. What would you guys prefer to see?

I voted for fictional. Readers will already have opinions of real players. It's not impossible, but it's harder because they are real people. Fictional, IMO, gives you more leeway in creating characters and fleshing them out with background information. Just make them as real as possible and you won't have to explain why Manny Ramirez would say that, or why Sammy Sosa would do that, etc.

Also, fictional allows you to structure what you want to say, how you want to say it. Creatively, it's more open-ended. That flexibility helps when the game throws you a curve.

modern day MLB, because readers will be able to follow the league easier.

That is what I was thinking, conflicts with reality would make it more difficult. On the other hand I will have to create a backstory with a fictional league. I'll probably end up doing that, the flexibility will be worth the increased preparation.

Hmmm.. now that I know I can't create a fictional league with any history for ITP without OOTP5 I may have to consider a modern day MLB set-up.

I would prefer to see a modern day MLB report, sounds pretty cool to me.
