On the very last day of the season, right before the playoffs started, Vince Vancuso was signed to the Milwaukee Brewers who had a good season finishing 10 games above .500, but missed out on the playoffs.

MLB News: St. Louis goes to the World Series again, but this time they win it all over Oakland behind Albert Pujols' MVP season.

After being released all of last season, Vince gets a chance to show what he's got with the Brewers. He'll be on the opening day roster while batting in the 8th spot vs. righties, and LEADOFF vs. lefties. Yes, leadoff! Vince could be the leading candidate for comeback player of the year! 2006 season goes underway.

Vince's first game as a MLB Starter wasn't a very good one for him, but the Brewers got the win over the Cardinals. Vince went 0-3 while grounding into two double plays.

The next game as well, he went 0-3 as the Brew-Crew lose to the Cards.

0-5 in the next game. The media in Milwaukee wants Vince gone, but Ned Yost won't have it. He is putting his faith into the 24 year old centerfielder.

Vince's first hit came in the 4th game of the season against the Pirates. He led the game off with a single which started a 3 run inning. The Brewers then coasted to a victory.

Vince is batting 1 for 15 so far this year

Vince quickly turned things around going 4 for 5 in the leadoff spot the next day, earning him some love from the media. His average is now a respectable .261 6 games into the season.

The very next day Vince came through in a big way. While he only went 1 for 4 on the day, he came up with the big hit in the 10th inning as he knocked in the go ahead run which turned out to be the game-winning run.

I'm not one to diddle daddle like TiB His is great, don't get me wrong, I just don't have the patience to do what he does.

After 16 games with the Brewers, Vince got sent down to AAA to help further his skills. Through 16 games, Vancuso batted .204 with a .260 OBP. He had one homerun and three doubles for a .591 OPS.

Hopefully he won't spend too much time down in the minor leagues, otherwise his career will be over just after it started.

After starting out 8-8 with Vince on the team, the Brewers have fallen to a league worst 14-26. Maybe it's time to call Vince back up? The decision isn't up to me, but that's what I would do if I were the Brew-Crew!

Vince isn't exactly tearing it up in AAA though, batting .169 for 15 games so far. If he wants the callup he's going to have to do more than just crap.

Vince got the call back up from AAA after having an OBP of nearly .400. One problem, it was just the September callups as the Brewers were hanging it up for the season.

Vince didn't get a starting spot and hardly got a pinch hitting role.

When Vince did manage to get a few starts before the season ended he tried to make his mark. He managed to improve his batting average from earlier in the season of .168 to .237. Vince also had a decent OBP of .284 at seasons end. 5 doubles, 1 homerun all in 80 AB's.

Sorry to say Vince never amounted to anything, didn't see any playing time, nothing. So I am going to stop this for now, and perhaps start up a new one down the road.
