The Terrance O'Brien Story

I have really admired what others have done with their reports, but I want to take a more statistical approach and include less writing. Here's some background information:
Name: Terrance O'Brien
Position: Pitcher
Difficulty: Horror
Draft Position: 7th Round by St. Louis
Beginning Talent:
Stuff (6)50
Velocity (32)40
Control (12)40
Poise (3)40
I started as a High School player and look to be in the majors within 4 or 5 years. I am the Number 1 starter in the Single-A program. I will most likely post monthly reports that include starts and how my team is doing.

Thanks for looking!

Played my first game and here's how it went:

No Decision
5.2 IP
1 HA
2 K
0 ER
0 R

I am extremely impressed how I played today! I mean this is the hardest level and I went nearly 6 string innings giving up just a hit! The team lost but I am confident now that I can hang with the Single-A Ballers! I'll try and stay consistent and post my seasonal and career stats after every couple of games so here it is...

<TABLE class=overall><TBODY><TR><TD class=empty><TABLE class=s0><TBODY><TR class=g><TD class=s5>
Career Minor League Pitching Stats

Well the team is doing awesome and since the opening day loss we've rolled going 5-0...however we lost today and I got the ND. Both games I've pitched in our team has lost. Anyway here's the statline:

No Decision
3.1 IP
4 HA
2 ER
2 R
2 K

Well I didn't last too long but not much damage was done either. So far after two games I have done pretty well and a call-up could be coming if I can manage some wins. Here's the seasonal statline:

<TABLE class=s0><TBODY><TR class=g><TD class=s1>Year</TD><TD>G</TD><TD>GS</TD><TD>W</TD><TD>L</TD><TD>SV</TD><TD>ERA</TD><TD>IP</TD><TD>HA</TD><TD>R</TD><TD>ER</TD><TD>BB</TD><TD>K</TD><TD>CG</TD><TD>SHO</TD></TR><TR class=g2><TD class=s1_2>2003, A</TD><TD>2</TD><TD>2</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>2.00</TD><TD>9.0</TD><TD>5</TD><TD>2</TD><TD>2</TD><TD>1</TD><TD>4</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Well the team is now 8-3 but I got another no decision and it's irking me! My Endurance seems to be the problem because I can go about 60 pitches then I am done so I think if my team can score some runs early I'll salvage a W:

No Decision
4.1 IP
3 HA
1 ER
1 R
2 K

Overall a solid short outing and my ERA is really shaping up. It is at a mini 2.03 while my WHIP is noticably excellent at a low .68. Here's the season stats so far:

<TABLE class=s0><TBODY><TR class=g><TD class=s1>Year</TD><TD>G</TD><TD>GS</TD><TD>W</TD><TD>L</TD><TD>SV</TD><TD>ERA</TD><TD>IP</TD><TD>HA</TD><TD>R</TD><TD>ER</TD><TD>BB</TD><TD>K</TD><TD>CG</TD><TD>SHO</TD></TR><TR class=g2><TD class=s1_2>2003, A</TD><TD>3</TD><TD>3</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>2.03</TD><TD>13.1</TD><TD>8</TD><TD>3</TD><TD>3</TD><TD>1</TD><TD>6</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Oh no! I tore a muscle in my shoulder and it'll take a month to heal. I lasted just an out in my game and this isn't good! Forget the team, here's what I was looking at:

Loss
0.1 IP
1 HA
2 ER
2 R
1 K

Ouch. Horrible! My stats are low as it is and this doesn't help. Here's a look at my stats:

<TABLE class=s0><TBODY><TR class=g><TD class=s1>Year</TD><TD>G</TD><TD>GS</TD><TD>W</TD><TD>L</TD><TD>SV</TD><TD>ERA</TD><TD>IP</TD><TD>HA</TD><TD>R</TD><TD>ER</TD><TD>BB</TD><TD>K</TD><TD>CG</TD><TD>SHO</TD></TR><TR class=g2><TD class=s1_2>2003, A</TD><TD>4</TD><TD>4</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>1</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>3.29</TD><TD>13.2</TD><TD>9</TD><TD>5</TD><TD>5</TD><TD>2</TD><TD>7</TD><TD>0</TD><TD>0</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
