Player's relationship with coaches

I'd like to see players perform better because they have a good relationship with the coach. Mo Vaughn feels that he played better because Mike Easler was his hitting coach. Or Junior Griffey would not play as well if his father was fired from the Reds.

kinda like latrell sprewell and pj carlisimo(lol sp??) of the NBA or on the topic, scott rollen of philly an his manager? that would be cool
