How about a TCY-like time management matrix?

In Front Office Football: The College Years, the coach must decide on a time management scheme for each player dividing time between practice, study hall, weight room, football study (film), and relaxation. Time allocated in each area affects the player in various ways. Something along similar lines, some kind of time management matrix, might be of interest for ITP, with the player himself deciding how to spend his time: in relaxation, studying game film, fitness center, reading, etc. Every choice would affect other choices. Less relaxation time might equal fewer opportunities to go to the bar per week and/or fewer chances to visit BBay. Less reading time might mean books take longer to read. Less fitness time would affect of your workout schedule, giving you perhaps fewer workout blocks. You get the picture. This might be one way to make the non-ballfield portion of the game more complex without taking a lot of time.

Great idea. I'd favor a "schedule generator" type of screen like you have at the Fitness Center where you can schedule your routine activities throughout the week.

Groundbreaking as it is, ITP has a lot of baseball role play but not much life role play. Unfortunately, as soon as you start trying to sim real life, things get very complicated very quickly...
