Post Career Options
Recently I completed a career in which I was a Hall of Fame 1st baseman with 2,800 hits and a .305 Batting Average. I was expecting perhaps a wee bit more fanfare as I went to Cooperstown, but instead I simply recieved a phone call about my induction! So:
More on the Hall What if I got a plaque? What about a parade screen? Or a screen of my character behind a podium? Just a few more photos of the men who posed for the character screens would make this possible. More Love From the Team I spent 15 years with the Boston Red Sox man, and nothing. No retirement ceremony, no offer for hitting coach or anything. They didn't even hang my number in RF! What about a career after sports? What if there was a little add on where you could chose a career path such as Politics, Business, Coaching, and Front Office and based on random chance and RPG abilities you could get a little write up of how you fared in that field. |

On of the important things about completing a game is the payoff. What do you get for spending your time and money (in some cases a lot of time and money) to finish it?
If you don't make the league Hall of Fame, are you one of your team's Hall of Famers? Based on your life decisions during your career, can you choose from several post-career endeavors? Real estate, car dealer, media personality, coach or manager (a quiet retirement of fishing and Old Timers games?) could be just some of your options. |

I can just see it now. "I was a hall of fame pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. I helped them to 4 world series victories and 10 wins over the New York Yankees in the Playoffs. So vote for me." "Excuse me, while you might have been a great on the field player. What do you say about allegations you slept with Cindy after geting her drunk and never calling her again?"

I know that in discussions with Markus he's wanted to add more flexibility with things like this so I wouldn't be surprised to see changes made. However, I'd be surprised if those came in a patch...more likely ITP 2.
