pitcher wish list
ive played the game 1 day and so far wish:
1) a calendar showing when im scheduled to start. sorry if this is already available and ive havent found it. 2) an ingame "career vs." tracker so i can track what kind of pitch was successful against a specific batter in prior games. Im only at "AA" level now so i can only challenge hitter, pitch around etc. but i forgot, while working on a complete game shut out, that one guy crushed a homer on a "ptich around" a few games prior (i remembered after) Im using word now to track pitching data against particular players, but its time consuming, though it makes a difference! Its not perfect, as the plyers will vary from day to day. 3) More sounds Last edited by Balls on Base : 10-25-2004 at 11:13 AM. |

more cheap advice!
most first person bb simulators give the pticher the ability to both choose the type and location of a pitch. This game is essentially rpg, ie a statistical simulator with some player choices and a grphic interface. Is this why pitch & location is not featured in the game? Maybe the math is too complex, but i would imagine the modelling problems facing a 3d 1st-person daunting as well. The game features pitching inside or outside, why not high or low or down the tubes? If a person chooses to be a lunkheaded fireballer, then they can choose to master 1 pitch only (fastball) and pound the snot out of the catchers mitt with sheer firepower, location being the only issue; or if a person is all poise and intelligence, one can learn many pitches and choose from the menu their deadly craft. further, a pitching coach would be great. the coach could indicate how to pitch a fly out or a ground ball. the computer (ie the manager) could recommend pitches through the catcher, which you could follow or ignore (to your peril), the manager could visit you for a chat on the mound etc. sorry if these are already possible or already suggested Last edited by Balls on Base : 10-26-2004 at 08:12 AM. |
