Rookie of the Year award

I was just wondering how many of you have been able to win this award?

I've played alot of careers and I can never win it. It seems if i play on a easy level & have a top prospect i'm always rushed too fast & as a hitter i seem to always hit in the low .200s that rookie year. When I play on a hard level it takes me forever to make the majors & when i usually dont get playing time until my 2nd or 3rd yr in majors.

the closest i can remember coming i was playin as a 21 yr old lefty SP, came up in milwaukee & really struggled in the 1st 1/2 of the yr, with a era in the 5.00s & a losing record, then around the allstar break i was traded to Minnesota who was in a playoff race & i went from like 5-8 or something at the time of trade to finishing the yr at 14-9 (give or take a decision) with a era in the high 3.00s (& Minnesota made the playoffs ), but the great 2nd half to the yr wasnt enough to get the voters to forget about the struggles in milwaukee

managed to win it 2x...

...but never as a pitcher. One time as a 1B; got picked by Detroit and called up behind a very good 1B (Yamato) and used as the DH. Other time as a C; used Scapular Dip to build arm strength (throwing out runners) and got called up in early May when Milwaukee's starting C got hurt. Went something like .295-32-105 with 10 steals.

Overall, just seems to be luck of when you get pulled. The more seasoning you have before getting called up, the better. Both of the above were drafted out of high school; never have had a decent 1st year when the player was created as a college draftee. /j
