A very useful glitch
I have found a glitch that allows you to get maximum talent in EVERY category at the character creation screen.
At the first screen, set everything the way you want it EXCEPT your position (leave it at first base). Go to the second screen and distribute your points until you have five or fewer skill points left. Go back to the first screen and change the position to one of the 6-pointers (C or SS). You will get an error saying "Not enough skill points!" and the position will remain at first base. But look up to the skill point counter--and you will have six additional skill points! Allocate these, then go back to the first screen and repeat. Repeat as many times as you need until you have enough skill points to max out all your talents. Once this is done, you can switch to your favorite position or even a pitcher. One warning: Do NOT switch difficulty settings once you have started. This will set the skill points back to their original levels, and you will have to start over. Happy hunting! Last edited by villageidiom71990 : 06-25-2005 at 03:29 AM. |

It's not actually fixed in 1.03.
It's true that if you have no points, and attempt to move from a 1st baseman to shortstop, nothing happens. But if you choose to be a second baseman in the normal way, run yourself out of points, and then attempt to select catcher or shortstop... viola, you have another four points. Rinse, repeat, and you have the ultimate character on horror level. Not that I'm advocating that you do that, mind you... but I don't give a flying **** if you cheat in a single player game. ![]() |
