What is a players' league?

A players' league is an online league that lets you become a player. You will handle all the negotiations, demand for a trade, ask for a raise or playing time. Its all in your hands.

You can purchase items, a la ITP, but we'll simulate using OOTP.

All the members are real persons, so it would definitely be a challenge.

You don't need the game to join. Just sit back, relax and check how your player does. If you want to do something else, that's fine. You can almost do anything here.

Just sign up in the forum and post in the create your player thread, the commissioner will crete you whenever he's online.

Hey Pat! That sounds like a lot of fun.......... What kind of commitment are they asking for? I'd love to see my name go up the Leader Boards, etc.... & then with growing confidence, I'd join the mgr, GM, owner levels.
What I really want to do is direct! (So I guess it's a future GM world for me)
Can I start small? I don't have the latest OOTP... still loving 5!
I saw you were on-line now...so I ask... I'm asking!

Well, the commitment is really up to you. If you want to just watch your guy pan out in the big leagues, then it's alright. It's better though if you are active on the boards, participating in the discussions, etc.

I would suggest that you follow the league around as a player first since I presume that this is the first time for you to join this kind of league. Then maybe if a spot opens up then you could probably have the experience to jump on the GM scene.

Ask the commissioner if it's alright, as a GM, to not own OOTP. But as a player, it's all good if you don't own the game. Hope I answered your questions. If you have anymore, feel free to inquire.
