Working out
Once you set up your schedule in the 'gym' does your player automatically follow that schedule and - if you're happy with it - you don't ever have to go there again? Am I right there?

And one more question - and I know this seems simple - but what are the ways that your ratings can improve? Does it happen on its own, or do you have to earn things and then manually increase your ratings like you did when you created your character.
Sorry if these are simple questions, but I want to make sure I'm getting the jist of this. |

My ratings have gradually improved with no new equipment. I went from 6 contact/13 power at the very beginning to 16 contact/23power at the beginning of the 2nd year. And yes, my player is still following the gym schedule I set the previous season.

You don't have to change it, but as your player ages your exhaustion and strength/flexibility needs change. It's also possible for your ratings to decline if you don't take enough batting/running/fielding practice.

I'm at 64 right now and the game reccomends not dipping below 40 before your on field performance is effected. Do you guys think I should hover closer to the 40 range as far as my work out schedule goes?
Most of my time is filled with the exception of Saturdays.

andj, I felt the same way. At 74, with long stretches of games everyday without a day off (like a week in a row), my guy would be exhausted and play very poorly. I do not recommend going lower in the beginning.
