you don't need OOTP to have a real league in ITP. Just need to download a league file same way you do for OOTP and put the path for it once you start a new game.
If you want the real logos an ect you'll have to download those an add them to the league folder also. Although this apparently might cause a freeze a year or two later on. But it's suppose to be how it works... just doesn't seem to yet from what I and a few others have experienced. |

I'd say that you only need the complete league (all folders) where you have the real players and the import would be successful even if you don't have OOTP installed.
