Strange dude this Peter Munro.

The pitcher I'm playing just got promoted and demoted on the same day in his rookie year. No appearance inbetween. Nice gesture by the GM to start my arbitration clock so early, and virtually gave me a nice raise for no reason.

Well, my pitcher is still not considered a rookie. He spend no day in the majors. The promotion/demotion happened twice in the same season, one in June, and one in August.

I'm very sure. My pitcher also got major league salary since that transaction in June. However, his contract status reversed back to minor league deal the next year, and I'm not sure if the arbitration clock really started.

It's still empty in the next year.

Ok, I don't know how many of you guys collected cards when you were younger, but the first card put out of you by a certain company would be considered your RC. Even if you only had a single at-bat. Even if you qualify as a rookie the next year also. I also think that you have to spend a day in the majors for you to get a rookie card. And lastly. Your arbitration clock did start. When you go back to the majors, assuming you will again, you will have 4 years left.

Actually I checked again and that's not the case. It's just like OOTP. If a player got promoted but demoted right away without getting into games, the arbitration might look like started, but later you'd find out it didn't count. The player did get some nice salary boost that year, but nothing else.
