deleting a career

is it safe to delete a career? I did this in OOTP5 twice and ended up paying for it with a runtime error and a reformatted harddrive.

help me...

uhm, i delete mine sometime when they take too much space... but screw up badly the game if you try to reload/save as same name

Yes, you can do it safely, both in ITP and OOTP5 (I've done it a bunch of times already in ITP to clear out the "experiments" and in OOTP5, I clear out games that I'm tired of playing out). What you have to remember is that both ITP and OOTP5 "remember" the last game you played, so if you delete the game folder you were playing, you'll get an error. What you should do is to either create a new career OR load an old career, then exit and delete the folder. This way, the engine "remembers" the last saved game and can start up correctly.
