Selling on BBay
I sold a bat for 19 thousand, that I paid 16 thousand for.
Cool! So I bought a glove, for 148K, sold it for 168K. I thought I was on to something, so I spent ALL of my money, all 512K, and bought a bat. ....and sold it on BBay for 460K! Oops. There is your answer. Purchase prices fluctuate....don't count on making a profit. Anyone have any idea on which items fetch the best price? Is there one consistent money maker? |

As far as I can tell, the prices are randomly variable, so there is no "best" money maker... then again, I don't really have a reliable statistical sampling to base that on, so I could be wrong.

You forget what I said last night, Orrie. This a game. I don't do research for games. Offer me a degree, and I'll write you a thesis, complete with quotations, endnotes, and an original survey of BBay auctioneers.
Until then, you'll just have to do without. ![]() - Kai

Maybe you can try to buy the bat back from your own bid to make sure that if someone doesn't pay more then you bought it for that you will get back the money! Of course that would require you to have enough money to cover what you paid for the item.

From my own selling on BBay, I find that the $8,000 Gloves and Shoes usually fetch in around 4-6 thousand. Cheap baseball bats usually fetch in anywhere from 4-7 thousand, and the $50,000 gloves fetch in around 2-10 thousand. Also, the $25,000 Brock air shoes usually get around 5-7 thousand. This only happens if you sell for 9 days though.
Another thing that I noticed is that most batting gloves, and expensive things in general never return much money. |

A new feature I'd love to see added is the ability to Buy and Sell Memorabilia from yourself and others, like for instance you could bid on the bat that Barry Bond broke the Home Run record with, or Rookie Cards for that matter.
