Patch Warning

The patch is pretty unstable and will corrupt your save games. They will reach a date, mine was in October, and from that point forward your stats will stop dead. They will no longer accrue.

Being one of the very few to announce this so far, I wouldn't jump out and say it automatically does it. Maybe its something with your game?

Nothing has happened to mine yet.

Heh, there are ways to crash the game in the same way before the patch.

I'm not sure if your crash is related to the patch. It might just be luck.

I let the game sim the first year with a new patch and new career, and mine came up with an illegal operation on September 20th. I haven't tried going back in yet.

First of all, I am the second person to make this observation. Secondly, I have replicated the problem by reinstalling v1.0, making a saved game, installing v1.1, running through to a crash coming once again at the transition from 8/31 to 9/1, reinstalling v1.0, and then reaching 9/13 and the stats once again failed to accrue.

Therefore Big Willis I am pretty confident in making the above statement. I hope that nothing happens to your games. I really do. But I isolated a problem and was able to replicate it. That's solid in my opinion.

Note: No offense meant to anyone. This information has only been witnessed by me and may have no effect on you whatsoever. I was just trying to help.

No need to get offensive about it. I'm simply stating that theres no point in going out and blaming a patch on something happening in the game when TWO people have had it happen to them.

I have installed the patch and after 3 years I have no problems to report...

My 4-year career crashed at 8/31 - 9/1 after installing the patch ... no stats were saved, but they were accruing before the crash. Now, when I load the league, the stats are at the pre-patch date, but the league date is 8/31.

Ouch this kinda sounds like It sucks....Markus doesn't miss stuff like this to often but being so close to the holidays he probley had his mind on somthing more important like his family.

If this Is a bug I wouldn't be surprised to see It sqaushed In a couple days or less.

What specifically happened to me and in my test run after was that my stats stopped changing. I kept playing games but my stats line quit changing. For instance 7 AB 0 R 2 H 2 RBI for every game I played after that date. The date kept changing on the game played to the end of the season but everything else stopped.

Perhaps I spoke too soon....Moments after I posted above, I too fell victim. Biff Webster's 2011 season is now gone. He had 39 home runs and 134 RBI's....But on August 31 I got an error report and the game shut off. Happened four times. All of his stats were gone, but the year just keeps going.

Man, must have jinxed myself

OOTP also does this when the game crashes. Any player stats that were generated between the last time the game was saved and the date that the game was simming when it crashed are gone.

All stats were changed back to around the All Star break (I went from 50HR on 8/31 back to 20), and the leaderboard for BA & OPS was blank except for 1 guy hitting .302 and another at .196. This is the 3rd career I've tried since the patch and it's happened in each one. I'm just trying to find a common denominator in the crashes to help pinpoint the problem.

Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone. I'm pretty sure most of us have a busy (and happy) day ahead.
