ITP is not dead! But in the next 12 months there will be no new version... who knows what happens after that
I like ITP, and even play it from time to time myself!

100 ideas, suggestion, changes for a new version BTW I broke your game! Had a pitcher go for 26 years, retired at 47. Had the career saves record, 762. But now it says the year is 16313, 39000 Ks, and there are various other data errors. At any rate, what was great about that pitcher was he was middle relief and it took until his 7th year to become a closer. By 33 he only had 111 saves and I was hoping to get to 200 before I retired. And I was going to be thrilled with that! Ah, now I am reminiscing and getting emotional...

Don't do that! gah!
I pretended I was a second baseman who played from the age of 19 (in the minors of course) and the guy playing short was the same age as my char. We both were promoted at the same time every year, played along side eachother in the majors for 20 years. The whole time I pretended the guy at short was my twin brother, and that that's what COULD'VE happened with us if he hadn't caught my ankle on the fly during a hit and run play, and tore it apart when we were 22, and playing for a college IRL.... GAWD! making me reminisce the good old days....AND it was only....what...like 3 years ago too? hhmmppphh!!

meh, I aint sweatin it anymore. I probably would not have married the woman of my dreams and had my beautiful little new born baby son if that would not have happened.
besides, mah bro still hasn't gotten anywhere in the game, and probably won't either. Doesn't mean I'm not pullin for him though, but we're already 25 and he still hasn't made it out of the cellar of the low minors. And lemme tell, hes pretty damn buried too. Only way he has a chance is if all the top prospects of the pittsburgh pirates happened to be on the same plane and it goes down or something.... that's actually kind of morbid....

Can someone just tell me if in the full version you can read the text, or if menus work correctly without the options overlapping each other every time you change them? I can't believe they're still selling this game for $20 when it's pretty obvious from the demo that it's unplayable. Do sub-menus have a white/color background? Or do you have to try to read black text through a transparent menu with a picture with black and shades of gray behind it? Seriously. I'm having a hard time considering checking out the OOTP series if they've been selling a game for 5 years that's broken.

The graphical errors are still present in the final version. Yeah, I had some mior hopes that they would fix some of the obvious errors if they were advertising it again. I'd agree with the cost, I think 10 would have been a better price point.
It is still fun to play though. As far as OOTP, check it out if you are interested in a baseball sim. OOTP and ITP are not really related / are seperate products. ITP was a one off deal and never got enough love, as you can see. But OOTP is very enjoyable as well and is the money maker. So it gets much much more attention and is a more finely polished product. You know, why would they advertise ITP again? With all the problems?

So I think the ad they released for it is just an experiment, in order to see if it sells or not, before using valauble time building a new version of the game just to not have it sell.

Probably so. But, imo, a lot of new buyers would get pissed off that the game is released in the shape it is, and that they paid for it. Even if it is $13 or whatever. Just 1 aspect; playing a pitcher is very, very annoying with all the promotion and demotions and it is difficult to be a closer. I bet a lot of players experience that and other issues, and have no faith in the devs or an ITP2.
Look what tadillac said a few posts ago. He is on the cusp of forgetting ootp/itp altogether based on the state ITP right now.
