Game Crashing When Filling Scout 1 Position

Somehow my under-contract Scout 1 disappeared. Boy, was I ticked. This being only a game, I went to make the best of the situation, and move my scout at A-ball Frederick MD into Scout 1 in ML Baltimore. Game crashes.

I have downloaded the most recent executable from the web site -- did not fix the problem. I thought I had the most recent before, but it was reporting 8.0.0.12, and the UPDATE tab had been reporting that I was current. I now show 8.0.0.13.

This issue has previously been logged as BZ 256. If you try to promote any coach or scout to an empty spot, the game will crash.

Presumably the old scout's contract ran out? Did he 'disappear' during the off-season?

I had this Scout under contract, but it was the off-season, and I suspect he might have hit retirement age or something.

Regardless, is there a work around? A way to edit the database? OI.

You can promote a scout or coach to a job that is already filled by another coach/scout. At present, that's unfortuantely all I've got for you.
