Logo request

I've seen some of the work guys (and gals?) have done logo-wise -- it's incredible, just simply amazing. I'm wondering if someone can help me by taking this image my friend drew and making one image of it cleaner/nicer-looking (for a patch), and one image of it looking like a baseball. It would be very much appreciated.

Couldn't do anything with that to make it patch worthy...but here is re-creation of it.
