Get your fictional Uniforms here

Hiya,

I have decided to embark on the amitious journey of creating fictional uniforms for as many teams names and cities/states I can come up with (obviousley, as time permits) Everything can be found in my photobucket here:

http://s76.photobucket.com/albums/j1...007%20Jerseys/

(Before I go any further, I want to give a special thanks to Deft for his great work on his wonderfully detailed uni templates!)

I am going to try and seperate everything by nickname unis, and City/State Unis.

As you will see in my photobucket, I have one section called Logo Files and One called Templates.

Logo files are the jersey logos that you will see in the examples I will post. These are for people who want to design their own uniform style, but like the script, or heart logo I have. All that needs to be done is download the file and load it as the jersey logo in the "Edit Colors, Uniforms, and Logos" utility in the game.

EDIT: Make sure when selecting a template to download from photobucket that you click on the thumbnail first as to get the actual size of the template file. If you save the thumbnail and import it into the game, it will not work.

Templates are the uniform style and jersey logo rolled into one. These are for the people who like the jersey "as is" and all that needs to be done is to download the template and load it as a jersey in the same screen mentioned above.

I will try to keep both types mentioned above of each jersey I create.

As far as Caps and Cap logos, I am leaving this alone right now as I think this is the easier of the two to do. (Perhaps someone might want to join in and create some cap logos for these?)

That's pretty much it. I hope everyone likes my work and I'm always open to requests and suggestions. (some days, I'll have more free time than others)

I want to thank all of the graphics geniuses for their inspiration and hard work! Please feel free to take anything I have created and improve upon it.

I will be posting samples as I go along

Cheers!

Mike

Nice work. But I must ask: Since you spend so much time creating really cool things for OOTP, do you actually work at a "real job?" Just wondering.

BTW, I liked your previous avatar better.

Very nice work Silvam. High quality stuff there. I'm working on some jerseys myself. I only hope I can get them to come out half as good as yours.

Uhh, yeah, I work in Boston 5 days a week. I even have a fiancee if you can believe that! I spend most of my time working on these at night when she is fast asleep.

Thanks for the compliment!

Tremendous work silvam, can I trouble you with a question. I usually don't have the time to learn how to create great work like yours and many others in the forum. I just had some surgery and now have a few weeks to "rest" and would like to create some jerseys, but not sure where to start. Could you either PM me or post how I can learn how to do this? Thanks for your contributions in making this game even better.

You can PM them to me if you would like, I can't promise that they will be done instantly, but I will try my hardest with the time that I have.

Anyway you could make them all available in a single .zip archive? For myself at least, this would make picking and choosing easier.

They look great by the way!

Well, this is the easiest for now. Since I am going to be constantly adding new ones, zip files would be out of date relatively quickly.

Once I get a good amount out there, I will do that though.

Very nice work BTW.

Ah nevermind. I see you are using Deft's templates. Are you just creating the logos in Photoshop (or some other program)? How about textures on the jerseys?

Basically, what I'm doing is lifting the scripts off of the logos that I have on my pc. I just going through the alphabet looking for good ones to use, and then making a uniform out of it.

As an example, the beavers uni was made by lifting the script off of this logo:

(WIP) Fictional Universe in a Box 2007

(Really nice work, silvam14! Wish I would've seemed your uniforms earlier, it would have saved me a lot of time in setting up my league.)

it would be awesome if someone put together a fictional league template with these already embedded in the template.
