Here are some images of the new MLB uniforms and commemorative patches for 2008 that I gleaned from other sites. I didn't realize the Athletics were coming out with an alternate uniform, so I don't know for sure if its legit or not.

The Portland Beavers have unveiled new uniforms and logos.
Pacific Coast League (AAA-Padres)

I remember the A's having black jerseys several years ago but it was for a season or two. Somehow, there are some teams that really don't need to add colors to their uniforms, and the A's are one of them. Green and gold, that's it, with white cleats. Anything for a buck or two.

That font is almost identical(if it's not the same one) to ballpark script from letterhead. The stripes on the upper shoulders is a nice retro touch that hasn't been overused yet.
