OOTP quickstart- SL1 thread
Here are the teams for the league:
Atlanta Rebels Boston Colonials Chicago Hitmen Cincinnati Rivermen Los Angeles Moguls Pittsburgh Keystones San Francisco Golden Gators St. Louis Dredgers Can you guys develop some original logos and uniforms for these teams? I need a clever logo for each team, and uniforms. Think 1950's-60's, and be simple with the uniforms. City name in a script would be great (like the Dodgers are). No team names or colors have been selected yet. Try to use the city name. If you want to be inventive, come up with your own. If someone already comes up with a team uniform, you can still offer your own up. We'll hash out which one to select. Last edited by Raidergoo : 05-02-2008 at 01:39 PM. |

By the way, if you add some visual "noise" to the jerseys that will give them some texture. Try it. I think you'll like the results. In Paint.net I usually set the noise to 20-25 (with 0-5 color noise). Hope this idea helps.

What fonts did you use for the text?

Good choice! I think you'll be pleased with the textured (and more realistic) results. Also, keep in mind that the darker the jersey - the more noise (and color noise) you have to use.
Although it's a matter of personal taste, since you are using the layer system, you can get away with lighter shading for a more realistic (and cleaner) look. I don't know if you read some of my previous threads about shading, but I always use two layers of shading! The higher layer I always have set to Normal, but the lower layer is set to Darken, Multiply, or Color Burn depending on what looks best on the jersey color & darkness. Note also on the shading templates that some have white backgrounds while others are transparent. I generally prefer the white backgrounds because it makes the jersey look a little more worn & used (lighter/washed out). For brighter jerseys - use the transparent background on the shading. Hope this info will be useful to you (or anyone else).

The three things you need to do a proper uniform are... 1. The city 2. The Mascot 3. The logo
