19th Century Uniforms

With the anticipated historical replay support promised in OOTP9, I thought I should get started on some 19th century jerseys for those of you who like to use facegen with your universes. I'll edit this post with updates as they come.

Updated 6/8/2008 : National Association 1871-1875

Excellent and I'm sure will be a favorite thread once we get started!

I've updated the first post with the complete teams of the National Association, 1871-1875. The teams that I did not find picture reference for or color information and are represented with generic uniforms, are:

Baltimore Canaries/Marylands/Yellow Stockings/Lord Baltimores
Fort Wayne Kekiongas
Brooklyn Eckfords
Keokuk Westerns
New Haven Elm Citys
Philadelphia White Stockings/Pearls/Phillies (the one I have is probably the later Quakers)
Philadelphia Centennials
St. Louis Red Stockings
Washington Olympics
Washington Nationals

Some teams were completed using today's Vintage baseball teams' uniforms.

If you have any suggestions for any of the above teams to make this a complete set, I welcome your input.

Nice job. Your uniforms really capture the flavor of the era. I'm sure you'll enjoy using these when OOTP 9 comes out. Keep up the good work.

NP, some of these styles are different then your original vintage style download. Will you release these newer styles too?

Thanks Ambermonk! You know, my girlfriend saw these today and we were kind of laughing about how its like I'm a little girl playing dress-up with dolls...

hmm...well, it was a good laugh anyways.

But yes, cephasjames, I'll be releasing these along with the styles, of course. I have them in photoshop but not as ingame templates, which I don't use. But I suppose that is what you'd like, the templates of the "blue, red, and green" variety?

Either, both...red, green and blue and photoshop files...we're very greedy when it comes to your awesome work!

Seriously, these are top quality as always, and I for one cannot wait to get my hands on them

Personally, I don't like working with the RBG templates. I'd much rather have each style shirt with no text on it.

That'd be fantastic, yes, please.

NoPepper, are your historical/deadball style templates already in the available red/blue/green collections?

I'll try to update my templates, both for use inside OOTP and in paint programs (mine is photoshop) this week, and make them available on the mod sites. Thanks for your interest guys. The templates for use inside OOTP may not be quite as complete or customizeable as the uniforms I create in photoshop. If any of them do seem to be subpar, please let me know.

Shh...here's a tip.

It would be handy to have unis for teams listed at the following URL

1876 National League (NL) Statistics and Awards - Baseball-Reference.com

Then review each year from 1876 onwards to 1901.

Another good one here:

1882 American Association (AA) Statistics and Awards - Baseball-Reference.com

I can release the somewhat vanilla 1871 set tonight. Last night I finished some generic team logos to finish the teams off. I'm not quite done with the RBG-style templates, and I'd like to release additional content but these will probably be in a subsequent version.

I'll post the link here when it's up. Thanks for your patience!
