Logo request: North Atlantic Baseball Association

I'd really appreciate it if one of you logo wizards out there would help me by designing logos for the 16 teams in my North Atlantic Baseball Association.

Classic designs would be preferable, nothing too trendy.

I'd like the Nantucket Navigators logo in navy blue and gold, but otherwise, you're absolutely free to pick any color schemes you'd like.

Here's a list of the teams:

Nantucket Navigators
New Bedford Whalers
Portland Pilots
Providence Grays

Bangor Bears
Charlottetown Islanders
Halifax Loyalists
Saint John Retrievers

Bridgeport Orators
Hartford Senators
New Haven Blues
Springfield Ponies

Burlington Catamounts
Manchester Minutemen
Montpelier Capitals
Worcester Panthers

I'll give you props for your designs in my thread.

Thanks very much in advance!

This is pretty plain, but I tried to give it a 70s feel as well. Let me know if it's too plain or you have a better idea:

These are great, Knuckler! I don't think any of them are too plain at all.

Thanks very much.

I thought about adding the Union Jack to Halifax, but it just didn't seem work out the way I wanted it to.

These are great. I have Halifax and Saint John in my Maritimes/New England league. That Halifax logo is sweet. A few of the teams in my league might be going through a name change real soon.

And thank you for the logos!

I'm having some trouble with the league files for my association, but I'm definitely going on with the project, so if you have other logo ideas, please keep 'em coming.

A couple of choices, hopefully this is the shade of gold you were looking for:

These are great, and that's exactly the colors I envisioned.

I like the Senator character, too.

Nice job, knuck. Those turned out real nice. The Senators and Islanders, for sure.

Yeah, the Islanders might be the best yet. I really like the Navigators options, too. Nice job, knuck.

Thanks guys. I'm running out of ideas on a few of these. For the Orators, I was thinking of something to symbolize the Greek orators. Any suggestions for the final three teams would be appreciated.

If you go to the Montpelier, VT website and scroll down, you'll see a faint background image of what appears to be a historical drawing of the statehouse. In fact it kind of looks like your cool logo style! I wonder if that graphic might exist somewhere on the site. I poked around a bit and didn't see it. Anyway, a domed statehouse might work nicely.

The Bridgeport Orators were named for "Orator" Jim O'Rourke, who was a Bridgeport native. So maybe something with 19th century baseball look and feel would work well for the Orators.
