SUGGESTION: Alternate jerseys

OK, so I wanted to post this in the "Suggestions for the next version" forum, but I can't post there, so this seemed like maybe the next-most-appropriate spot.

It would be super keen if the game supported home and away jerseys for teams, and also one or more alternate jerseys. The easiest way to handle it, maybe, would be to add a "jersey selection" tab in the pre-game setup screen, where you set your lineups and so forth. Alternatively, the game already knows when teams are home or away, so it doesn't seem like it would be too hard to add an option for a second jersey to be used in away games. The alternate jerseys could be set up either in the pre-game screen, or with frequency limits set in the same way that player substitutions are handled ("Every fifth day" and so on) or a random percent of the time (like the "spot starter position" is handled).

Obviously, not a critical addition to the game, but I think it would be neat and not too hard to implement.

More jerseys? NO.

I'm kidding Mr. Ott, good suggestion.

I was thinking the same thing..not only home and away, but also special occasion jerseys.

I've suggested this great idea as well...

Well, I for one would love to see that added to the next version. It is part of the real game so why not OOTP? Unless it is really hard to code. I would not think so if it is done at the setup level, but then I am not a coder...just a graphics fan.

I did suggest this during beta testing. I also suggested having special logos for certain league events such as a logo for the All-Star Game, logos for each round of the playoffs, and special team anniversary logos (e.g. tenth season, twenty-fifth season, etc.).

Nothing came from it this year, though in fairness I didn't necessarily suggest it through the proper system.

I'll be taking these ideas up again for next year.

I don't think there would be a huge problem with coding it. However, having double or triple the number of player pictures would certainly bloat the size of the league files.

Space is no problem for me. I have four harddrives on this machine, one 500gb, and three 160gb HD's. One of those is external and holds all of my music. And yeah, I definitely got me a much better power supply to take care of it all. Runs great!!!
