Looking for 1800's FaceGen stuff
I need the following for my baseball saga:
American Association Union Association National League up to 1900 If anyone has them or is willing to work on them, that'd be sweet. Otherwise, I'll probably do them myself.

Well, no one has stepped up, so I downloaded some tools from other forum members and went to work on my own. For now, my Baseball Saga dynasty is temporarily on hold while I work on this. I've found a ton of old pictures, tobacco cards, and the like from the 1800's. There's two main problems with them: they tend to be in black and white, and it tends to be hard to find some of the more obscure teams. Allen & Ginter cards are nice for color, so I do have some of that. The rest I'll have to make up as best I can. I don't have everything done yet, but I thought I'd post here for comments and suggestions.
Anyway, here's a look at what I've accomplished so far: ![]() Top Row: left to right Cincinnati Reds Louisville Grays/Eclipse/Colonels Indianapolis Blues Milwaukee Grays Providence Grays Indianapolis Hoosiers Chicago White Stockings Bottom Row: left to right Syracuse Stars Syracuse Stars Philadelphia Quakers Detroit Wolverines New York Giants Baltimore Orioles New York Giants

Thanks guys. I just got back from vacation and have some business to take care of over the next couple of days, but I'll get some more of these completed and then share the files. Much of the work is now templated in Paint Shop Pro, so it'll hopefully move along quickly.
As for the slightly larger collars, yeah, I just didn't like using only the OOTP collar section for that, and felt like these look a little better. Some decent shading under and on them helps, but the break between jersey and collar still shows up on lighter colors.

That Detroit uniform, though simple and basic is one of the best I've ever seen....Something about it says....."I'm cool"

Just a quick update. I've completed the jerseys and caps (85 of them to cover the 65 teams that played in the NL, AA, PA, and UA from 1876 to 1900), and am now working on team logos. That should go much quicker. I'm also putting together two documents: One explaining what photos/old baseball cards I used to guide my work, and the second with suggested progressions for when to switch uniforms for teams that have multiple ones.
Samples will come later tonight.

Ok, if you don't care about the team logos, which I'm still working on, you can get these here (~7MB).
There's two additional files included: 1. Source information as to how I came up with the designs. 2. A spreadsheet you can use as a guide for when to use which files (not even close to 100% accurate, but useful). Here's what they'll look like (including a few that No Pepper did for the NA that I included for completeness): ![]() From No Pepper's NA files: Hartford Dark Blues New York Mutuals Philadelphia Athletics St. Louis Brown Stockings

Thanks for the 19th century uniforms. You must have spend a lot of time researching. I was planning on starting a league soon and these will be perfect.
I live in Connecticut near Hartford. There is a vintage baseball league that plays in New England using rules and equipment from that era. It may be of some interest to you and other history buffs. Here are a couple of links. newenglandvintagebaseball.com Hog River Journal - Dark Blues I grew up near Waterbury, the birthplace of Hall of Famer, Roger Conner. He played from 1880-1897, mostly for the NY Giants. His great-grandson was a teacher at my high school. |

That is one very impressive collection of work. As one who has compiled sets of my own, I can appreciate the amount of work that required to see it through. Thank you very much!

Site appears to be back up. Not sure what was going on, possibly server maintenance. I've also uploaded it at Fidel's AllSimBaseball site.
