? on cities.txt

Raidergoo,

I downloaded your US cities file this evening, and popped it into excel. It seemed to work fine without any crashes.

I got it into columns fine, and can pretty much figure out what each of them are, except one...

There is one column with nothing but "206" in it. What is this "206" is it the nation associated with the city, state...?

206 is the nation column, which in this case is The United States.

OK,

so basically, if you wanted to change each state to a nation edit the nations.txt file accordingly, and match up the cities.txt file, you could do that...

It's a great file btw...

But then, any file that has Machias, Maine in it would be great!

Yes, you could.

Matching up data from a third party ( like me ) into cities.txt is a tough thing to do, at least for my little brain.

I edited mine so that it also has Macwahoc, Maine. And Wytopitlock. I get homesick sometimes. I'm under no illusions that the game will ever generate players from these places, however. Macwahoc has a population of 114.

You'd be surprised. My hometown has a pop of 1,000 or so, and I ran across someone from there in the game quite by mistake.
