Every US state as a nation completed mod
This mod will allow you to add every state in the US as well as Washington D.C. and the Cape Cod region as it's own nation in OOTP in addition to the default options. Each town and city will have it's proper population (as of the 2000 US Census) and geographic locations, and each state will have it's own baseball quality setting based on how many MLB players have come from it over the years (info from www.baseball-reference.com). Here's a direct link to it.
If you run into any problems or have any questions, post 'em here and I'll try to help you out. Thanks to OOTP Mod Squad for the hosting and Raidergoo for the data I needed.

Sounds great!
The geographically conscious could probably do a lot with this, like: -- create "Metro leagues" for most major cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, Huston, Dallas, Philly, etc) -- Create "regional leagues" like the "UP League" in Michigan, or the Panhandle League (Texas) or the Downeast League (Maine). While they're not real leagues, they're would make great ideas for leagues. Will

I didn't even think of the state flags, thanks for pointing them out. Downloaded already.

You're welcome. Raidergoo made it so much simpler by providing me with the basic data all in one place rather than my previous method of collecting it from two or three different sources.

Go here http://www.ootpmodsquad.com/ click on Mods at the top and then select Names & Nations Sets. You'll find it there.

Locate nations.txt. Rename existing file oldnations.txt. Add new one to folder. Start new game. All newly created games will use this new file. |

I'm obviously doing something wrong because I can't get this to work. I downloaded Kelric's file and renamed it nations.txt after creating a backup of the original nations file but the renamed file displays only gibberish when I open it. It is equally ineffective in-game when trying to create a new league. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

I've updated this file for the 2007 version of OOTP. There were a few modest changes that needed to be made and I made them, since I wanted to use the file.
![]() One thing to point out, I added the city of Silicon Canyon, Wyoming to the file. It's a city I made up (I live in Wyoming) and there is a long backstory to it. Anyway..you'll want to get rid of that, if you're big on realism since it's a pretty big city. Here's the file. I had to fix it because I made a few mistakes. But it should be good to go now. I've downloaded the file, but when I open the "data" folder in OOTP2007, there's no "database" folder inside it. Sorry to be so clueless, but what should I do now? I'd really like to have some fun with this mod.

You have to go to My Documents/Sports Interactive/OOTP Baseball 2007/data/database

Thanks, darkcloud. I figured it was something as simple as that.
It's working perfectly now. Thanks for all your hard work on this.

No choices for Nations ingame
Downlaoded the very state as nations mod and replaced my original one. (don't worry, I backed it up.) when I open the game and try to create a league, I get no choices under League Nation. Any ideas how I can fix this??
