Israeli name set
Here is an Israeli name set for use with OOTP2006/2007
I've made it name set 39, to replace US-Historical, but you change that to suit your needs. names_israeli.txt I've also made an expanded US-Modern name set, but it's too large to post here, so I'll be sending it to www.ootpmodsquad.com. |

To install, first download the files.
Then, cut and paste the data into the names.txt file (in the database folder), overwriting the US-Historical section of the names files--thats the section with lines that end in 39--it's the last part of the file. Then, edit the nations.txt file so the game will use the file. In this case, change this: 94,Israel,Israel,ISR,Israeli,3,2,0,75,17,25,0,0,0, 0,59,42,663,236,0 to this: 94,Israel,Israel,ISR,Israeli,3,2,39,85,17,15,0,0,0 ,0,59,42,663,236,0 If you start a new game with an Israeli league, the game will use this set for most Israeli players. Oh--always back up you original files. |

Hard to tell what your missing.
If you look at your names.txt file and firstnames.txt file, all the names ending in 39 are from the Israeli name set? Your nations.txt file has this line: 94,Israel,Israel,ISR,Israeli,3,2,39,85,17,15,0,0,0 ,0,59,42,663,236,0? Your fictional league home country is Israel? Your "foreigner percentage" is set to a fairly low number? That's really all it takes to work. |

I have all of that set up the way you told me to. I had the foreigner percentage set at 25%. I'll lower that to see what happens. I'm getting mostly Israelis in the league. I'm just not getting the names even though it's set up to give me the names. Very strange. I'll see what happens with the next amateur draft.
Thanks for your help! |

Israel Baseball League (RL)
for anyone wanting to add 'real' Israel BB teams......
IBL Teams (2007 Season - 1st Season for league) Bet Shemesh Blue Sox Modi'in Miracle (Both teams play at Gezer Field) Netanya Tigers Tel Aviv Lightning (Both teams play at Sportek) Petach Tikva Pioneers Ra'anana Express (PLAY AT Yarkon Field) Ballparks are a little smaller and some of the rules are a little different...... Games are 7 innings. Ties are settled by a home-run derby.

Dogzilla do you mind if I include your database work with the IBL uniforms I just finished? I didn't change your work at all. All I did was replace Historical US with Israel I added it as a 40th option. I just think they'd go well together.
