License Keys not working

I preorder the mac version of OOTP 10, and the game will not recognize either of my two product keys, even though I copy and paste them directly from the email as in. Any suggestions on why they wouldn't work?

to clarify, the error is: The product was not activated. Please check that the serial number was entered correctly and try again. Game will run in demo mode

This can happen when there is difficulty contacting the server. Try using the manual licensing tick box and follow the instructions.
