Importing OOTP 2007/8 to OOTP X

Is this possible? I tried to do it from the spot where it says "Import OOTP9 Game" and it crashed on 'copying messages' part.

I need to know this as soon as possible as my league is planning on converting over to OOTP X from OOTP 2007/8.

I am using Windows Vista Home Edition on a PC. Thank you!

Use the demo of OOTP9 to convert your league then convert the result of that into OOTPX.

You have to import the game into OOTP 9 first.

You can still download a demo version of 9 if you don't have it.

Went to try and import my OOTP 2007/8 file over to OOTP 9, I put in the desination game name and it immediately freezes and crashes.

HELP!
