Unable to install license

Retrieval of license error code 501.

This Order ID was not found on the license servers.

etc.

I have tried both on and offline licensing, both seem to claim the licensing is invalid. I can assure you this is not the case! I have followed the instructions to the letter but it hasn't worked, and I have waited more than the "few minutes" the program suggests, I have waited about 10 hours.

I don't know if it's wise to post mylicense number here, but my purchase was made on the 4th of April, 714am GMT. I am happy to post my license number for verification if that's necessary. Please help!

J.S.

Please do not ever post your license number publically! It will allow people to steal your copy of the game.

Which operating system are you using, please?

This might sound like a silly suggestion, but...I'd purchased another game which uses eLicense, and at first, I was trying to use that license code, and of course it wasn't being accepted. I was getting the same error message. (I use gMail, and just searched my Inbox for "elicense" and used the most recent one, which was an incorrect choice.)

Be sure that you're not trying to use an eLicense code for another game.

No, happy for any suggestions or advice, but I've checked the code repeatedly (and haven't ordered other games), I've even made sure the amount of letters lined up correctly with the "x's" and they do, so there's no extra letters or missing letters in my code. This is very frustrating after a two month wait!

Again, not to suggest something potentially silly, but you did purchase the Windows copy of the game and not the Mac/Linux one?

That's possible, but I don't think so. The confirmation email says...

"You have purchased the following product:

Publisher Name : Out of the Park Developments GmbH & Co. KG
SKU : OOTP90
Name : Out of the Park Baseball 9
Quantity : 1
Maintenance : 0
Description : Out of the Park Baseball 9 is the sequel to PC Gamer Magazine and Metacritic's "PC Game of the Year 2007", simply the best baseball game on the market today.

OOTP 9 offers unparalleled flexibility in creating your own baseball world!
Total Purchase : 39.99

Info Opt-in : No"

...

DUDE. I swore I wasn't gonna be one of those retarded people...but I totally am...as you can see I used my OOTP NINE code and not ten. Sorry to waste everyones time, I pretty much hate myself now. So sorry! Alright, I'm ready and excited to play!

Hey, "user error" is a lot more palatable for us than some legit bug.

Enjoy!
